BUPAJECT 50 ML
Contains per ml:
Buparvaquone 50 mg
Bupaject Inj. is a clear, ruby-red solution for intramuscular injection and contains buparvaquone as active ingredient.
Buparvaquone is analogue of antimalarial hydroxy-naphtho-quinones. It has in vivo and in vitro antiprotozoal activity.
Bupaject Inj. is indicated for the treatment of theileriosis (Corridor disease, East Coast Fever, Tropical Theileriosis, etc.) in
cattle caused by Theileria annulata and T. orientalis (sergenti). It is active against both the schizont and piroplasm stages of
Theileria species and may be used in the incubation period of the disease, or when clinical signs are apparent.
Do not use subcutaneously or intravenously. Theileriosis has severe depressant effects on the immune system. Therefore, it is
recommended that any vaccinations be delayed until the animal has recovered.
Localised, painless, oedematous swelling may occasionally be seen at the injection site.
